Penny Wars:  We are excited to hold our yearly fundraiser for Muscular Dystrophy in honor of one of our students February 23 through March 1. The money this year will again be donated to Cure Duchenne, which is an organization that is working to find a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. How it works is simple. Students bring in pennies to fill up their class bins.  Pennies count as a positive towards their total collected.  Students can bring in any other coin type, or even dollar bills, to put in OTHER class bins.   These coins count against the total number of pennies. Totals are calculated and reported daily with Midwest Bank Money Van counting our total on March 1. The winning class will choose a staff member from a list of volunteers and will choose between showering them with Silly String or picking one person from their class to throw a pie in the staff member’s face.  So start saving your pennies, nickels, and dimes and join us in raising money for Cure Duchenne.
