Letter grades for students have been in existence since schools have been around. Letter grades for an entire school or district in Arizona has only been around for a brief period. And just like students, everyone in a school strives to get the top grade..."A".
The staff at Westar is just like an athlete who wants to be the very best they can. Strategic practice with a well-organized game plan is the requirement for any winning team. In our efforts, acquiring a letter grade of "A" and to be recognized by the Arizona Department of Education, the "Team" worked very carefully at evaluating individual student data and developed a plan to reach individual student potential.
We are pleased to announce this teamwork has paid off with hardwork from both students, parents and staff! Well, the game isn't over as we are back at planning for the next season with the goal of continuing to be an "A"! Stop by anytime but be prepared to roll up your sleeves as this is truly a "Community" effort!
"Make it a great day or not. The choice IS yours!"
